In all honesty, I have never been a huge fan of most Kenyan Coffees. When Alex from Thankfully was kind enough to gift me a bag of his Kirura AB, I tasted the coffee and instantly fell in love. It was complex, perfumed, floral, and fruity. I bought this Getuya lot from Alex directly after tasting his other Kenya. This washed coffee has notes of raspberry fruit leather, lemon, signature blackcurrant fruitiness, sharp citric acidity, and a black tea finish. I hope to establish a good connection with a Kenyan farmer in the near future and bring you guys even more offerings from this country. Mwirua Farmers’ Cooperative Society Limited is situated in the Central Province of Kenya in Kirinyaga County. The society was formed in 1954 to support the processing and marketing of the quality produce from the cool altitudes of local coffee communities. I hope you guys enjoy the flavor and complexity of Kenyas volcanic terroir, expemplified in this beautiful coffee. Expect more Kenyan offerings soon!
